Imported from Tibet, native to the drier regions of western and cental Asia in areas with long, hot summers and fall-spring rains. All Foxtail Lilies are similar with a few basic characteristics; a compact rhizome, strap-shaped leaves and hundreds of small, individual flowers. Few plants are as impressive as a foxtail lily in flower, it is one of the most colorful tall flowers available. They thrive in well-drained sunny sites, blooming for 10-15 years without dividing. Long-lasting as a cut flower.
