Fiery red.
These "true" ball dahlias were exhibited for the first time at the National Dahlia Exhibit in Holland. It's hybridizer, H. A. Van Eeuwijk, developed 12 new cultivars; all of which produce very large flowers, are very uniform in height, flower shape and, as a special feature, have strong, thick stems. They make superior cut flowers, lasting up to 5 days when freshly cut. Hardy in zones 8-10; elsewhere dig in fall and store in a frost-free area.
